Ingredients:
For 6 servings:
1 can (20 ounces) apples, pie pack, drained
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
4 ounces butter
3/4 cup (3 ounces) Wisconsin Medium Cheddar cheese, shredded
For 48 servings:
13 pounds canned apples, pie pack, drained
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 cups sugar
4 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
3 cups rolled oats
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
1 pound butter
6 cups (24 ounces) Wisconsin Medium Cheddar cheese, shredded
Cooking Directions:
Combine apples, lemon juice and sugar. Arrange in buttered 12x20x4 inch pan.
Combine dry ingredients with butter until mixture is crumbly. Lightly mix in Cheddar cheese. Bake in a conventional oven at 350° F for 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream, ice cream, or grated Cheddar cheese.
Variation: Substitute cherries or peaches for apples.
